  19. Sounds like a power supply problem.  It's probably one of the
  20. integrated full wave bridge rectifiers.  These are flat packs about
  21. the size of a sugar cube with four hefty leads coming out of the
  22. bottom.  They are located at the right rear of the 1541.

  24. Check your voltages (5vdc 12vdc) and if either is low, replace both of
  25. the rectifiers with heavier duty units.  They can be obtained at radio
  26. shack for about $2 each.
